- Adware is so tedious, and in the past couple of years of internet record a lot of adware's functional qualities have started to resemble spyware, which is much more evil. Adware that is sent out in the form of email sometimes notifies advertisers and marketers when you looked at the mail, how long you looked at it, what you did with it (probably junked it!), in what country, and from what IP address.
